Atelier Kimalda
Atelier Kimalda, co-founded by Daphne and two of her friends during the Covid era, embarked on a mission with a clear objective: creating face masks that are good for the Planet, Body and Mind.
Each mask, meticulously tailored to order, was crafted locally from deadstock and vintage fabrics, ensuring exclusivity in limited editions. Form-fitting, breathable, and customizable, these masks featured adjustable ties and were devoid of plastic and elastic components.
Initially catering to private clientele, Atelier Kimalda expanded its reach through collaborations with esteemed institutions such as La Petite Maison (LPM) in the UAE and KSA.
Driven by a desire to create something distinctive, practical, and memorable, Atelier Kimalda endeavored to offer a beacon of light amid the darkness of the pandemic, with masks serving as tangible reminders of resilience and innovation long after Covid subsided.
Throughout this journey, Daphne assumed a multifaceted role, serving as the Creative Director, Designer, Product Developer, Pattern Maker, Seamstress, Photographer, Social Media Manager, and Copywriter, while also handling logistics and shipping.
