Canella Hostal
In Autumn Winter 2016, Daphne embarked on a project inspired by a journey through the Orient.
She was entrusted with creating an embroidery digital artwork, later incorporated into Canella's print design for the linings of the collection's outerwear pieces. Additionally, Daphne went on short trip to Seoul to assist Canella in the fabrics and trims sourcing and when she came back she crafted a fabric manipulation as a variation of the original artwork, along with 3D elements such as pockets, seamlessly integrated into the designs. In response to Canella's vision of including a trench-coat in the collection, Daphne sketched several variations in line with the new design codes.
She played a key role in the development process of the patterns and trained tailors to execute the origami work and sew the 3D pockets on prototypes. The bulk production was then efficiently handled by Canella's team of tailors and seamstresses.
